Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Dickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grimlock Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dickson closes the distance and clinches.
Dickson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Jones tries for a takedown but Dickson manages to get underhooks.
Dickson blocking some punches.
Jones jumps guard but Dickson stands there with Jones around his waist. Jones gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Dickson smiles and moves away.
Brian Dickson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grimlock Jones.
Jones tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Dickson counters with a good low kick that Jones was not able to check.

Jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dickson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dickson tries to buck Jones off but Jones is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dickson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jones shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jones was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jones passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Dickson!

Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jones has hold of Dickson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dickson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
