PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Olki Nukke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Trygg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Trygg's choice of entrance music: Pantera - Walk. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trygg misses with a body shot.
Trygg looks to score with a jab to the body but Nukke is just out of range.
Nukke throws a nice looking combination but Trygg bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nukke blocks a head kick by Trygg.
Nukke fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Trygg manages to avoid it.
Nukke displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Trygg throws out the jab.
Ivan Trygg seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Trygg tries to move into range but Nukke moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Nukke lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Trygg at a distance.
Nukke is looking to wear down Trygg with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Trygg walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Trygg closes the distance and clinches up with Nukke, looking for a takedown. Trygg pushes Nukke against the cage but Nukke circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Trygg lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nukke circles away quickly and effectively.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nukke throws a leg kick which misses Trygg's front leg but catches the back leg as Trygg tries to avoid it.

Nukke tests Trygg's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Trygg chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Nukke can pounce on him.
Nukke is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Nukke feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Tryggs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Trygg takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Nukke connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Horrible takedown by Trygg or perhaps it was just good defense by Nukke which made him look bad.

A looping hook to the body misses from Trygg. Nukke does a little dance to reset his feet.

Trygg's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nukke connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Trygg scrambles back to his feet.

and Nukke makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Trygg takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Nukke looks to score with a jab to the body but Trygg is just out of range.

Ivan Trygg is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Trygg might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Nukke has got the better of the exchanges.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Nukke with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Trygg to score with a decent uppercut.

Trygg shoots for a double leg takedown but Nukke sprawls well. He's pushed Trygg's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Nukke throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Trygg crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
