Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between M J Shain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin McCork (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shain's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Thunderstruck. McCork has chosen Great Balls Of Fire By The Killer Himself as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCork throws a leg kick
and Shain counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Shain looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Shain looks to land a combination. McCork sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Shain lands with a shot to the body.
McCork looks to clinch
and Shain makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
McCork misses with an uppercut
and Shain counters with a left to the body.
McCork walks into a stiff left hand from Shain.

Shain chopping away at his opponent's legs.
McCork fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shain.
McCork throws a right and a left that both miss.
Shain rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and McCork counters with a nice double leg into guard.

McCork is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Shain is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Shain has escaped and now he's on top!

McCork working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shain doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shain manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Shain got a little sloppy there for a moment and McCork has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shain has managed to get both his arms back between McCork's legs - danger averted.

McCork escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shain gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Shain won't allow McCork to sweep him here.

McCork tries to improve position but can't.
Shain moves into full mount!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McCork is looking to improve his position but Shain isn't that keen on the idea.

Shain lands a heavy elbow.
Shain lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Shain in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
McCork is in all sorts of trouble here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

BOOM! Shain connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Shain lands with some vicious ground and pound - can McCork hang on?
The referee warns McCork that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

McCork is rocked!
Shain prevents McCork from getting the reversal.
McCork is still in real trouble! Can Shain finish him?
McCork bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
McCork seems to have recovered his senses.

McCork drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shain manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McCork has Shain in his guard.

Shain avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCork has momentary wrist control but Shain slips an elbow through the middle.

Shain takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
McCork doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
McCork tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Shain scores with a jab.
McCork fails with an attempt to clinch.

McCork ducks under a wild hook from Shain.

and Shain counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Shain scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McCork doesn't seem bothered though.
McCork fails with the takedown.
M J Shain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Calvin McCork.
McCork uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Shain.
McCork thows a leg kick but Shain checks it
and Shain counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Shain pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces McCork back to the cage. Shain follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Shain throws a hook to the side of McCork's head but McCork sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

and Shain counters with a lovely shot to the body.
McCork throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Shain attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
McCork with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shain to score with a decent uppercut.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Shain throws out a loose jab but McCork uses good head movement to avoid it.
