The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcone swings widly with a right hand

and Sliva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sliva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Sliva is looking to work some ground and pound but Falcone has wrist control.
Sliva throws and elbow that misses. Falcone uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sliva's guard. Nice move by Falcone!
Sliva has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Sliva can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Falcone controls the pace.

and Falcone counters with a good low kick that Sliva was not able to check.
Furio Falcone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Sliva.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Falcone lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sliva's sensitive parts.
Falcone lets loose with a powerful body kick. Sliva will feel that in the morning.

Oooooh!!! Falcone has knocked Sliva down with a huge combo! Falcone steps away and waves a wobbly Sliva back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Falcone is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Sliva moves out of range of the strikes.
Falcone grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Sliva takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Falcone cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
