Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andres Bernardini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Acevedes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Acevedes comes into a darkened arena with his song building. California Love kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Andres Bernardini could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Marcus Acevedes's chin.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernardini throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Acevedes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bernardini scores with a crisp jab that stopped Acevedes in his tracks.
Andres Bernardini seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Acevedes counters with a nice uppercut.

Bernardini's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Acevedes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Bernardini's face.
You get the feeling that Bernardini really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Acevedes is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bernardini is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Acevedes goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bernardini has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Acevedes but great work by Bernardini.
