The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eriksson lands a left and a right that send Orpik crashing to the mat, dazed. Eriksson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Orpik walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Eriksson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Eriksson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

and Eriksson counters with a one-two to the body.
Eriksson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Orpik. Orpik circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Orpik takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Orpik has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Orpik there as he acknowledges the shot.
Eriksson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Eriksson works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Eriksson lands with a good body shot.

Oooooh!!! Eriksson has knocked Orpik down with a huge combo! Eriksson steps away and waves a wobbly Orpik back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Orpik uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Eriksson.

Eriksson cracks Orpik with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Eriksson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Orpik to stand back up!
Oh Orpik is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Eriksson lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Orpik backs up against the cage.

Orpik seems to have got his legs back now.
Eriksson lands a glancing blow to the side of Orpik's head.

Eriksson lands a big head kick that sends Orpik tumbling to the mat! Eriksson takes a step backwards and waves Orpik back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Eriksson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

and Eriksson counters with a nice right hand that sends Orpik toppling to the canvas! Orpik scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Eriksson finish him?!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Eriksson.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Orpik. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Orpik's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Eriksson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Orpik scrambles back to his feet.

Jason Orpik's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Eriksson jabs Orpik right on the nose. Orpik blinks but takes it well.

Eriksson's corner calls for a 1-2. Eriksson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jason Orpik is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Eriksson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Orpik sprawling to the canvas! Orpik rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Eriksson finish him?!

Jeez, Jason Orpik's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Eriksson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Eriksson scores with a nice strike.
Eriksson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Orpik stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Eriksson is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Orpik like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Orpik from another fist facial!
