The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rodrigo gets caught flat footed, as Sarcoma shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Sarcoma is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Rodrigo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Rodrigo has escaped and now he's on top!

Sarcoma is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rodrigo is aware though and is defending well.
Sarcoma is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Rodrigo trying to control the position from guard on top but Sarcoma is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Rodrigo throwing strikes from guard but Sarcoma blocks nicely.

Sarcoma is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rodrigo defends well.

Rodrigo passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Rodrigo trying to control the position but Sarcoma is working away.

Rodrigo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sarcoma has escaped the position, nice work there.
Rodrigo misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Rodrigo is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sarcoma looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rodrigo gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sarcoma is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rodrigo lets go of the hold and Sarcoma can pop his arm back in it's socket.
