Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aleksey Nikiten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yurik Khripunov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khripunov drives through and clinches with Nikiten against the ropes.
Khripunov pushes Nikiten back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Nikiten could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nikiten is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
A nice left hand lands by Khripunov .
Khripunov taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Khripunov tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Khripunov is pressed up against the ropes. Nikiten has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Khripunov down to the mat. Khripunov avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Khripunov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Khripunov has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nikiten defend it? Khripunov steps over the head and cranks it - Nikiten is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Khripunov !
