The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paendrag tries to work over Fortunato's front leg with a kick but Fortunato checks it.
Paendrag is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Paendrag makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Paendrag buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Fortunato counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Paendrag tries to close the distance and clinch but Fortunato swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That was a close round but I would say that Joaquin Fortunato will probably get the nod.

Paendrag connects with a crisp jab.
Paendrag cracks Fortunato with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Paendrag swings for the body but Fortunato moves out of range.

Paendrag lands a head kick. Fortunato smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Paendrag is still on wobbly legs! Can Fortunato finish him?
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Paendrag crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fortunato - the referee stops the clock and Paendrag gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fortunato. Paendrag manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Paendrag is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Fortunato doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Paendrag crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Paendrag's bad books for that mishap!
