Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Eliza Hachem and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nevus takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nevus avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nevus drives through with a takedown into Bonzarino's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Nevus stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Bonzarino scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Nevus tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bonzarino swivels and escapes.
Danga de danga de dang - Bonzarino scores with a four punch combination!
Bonzarino connects with a single shot there.
Bonzarino circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nevus shoots in and drives through. Bonzarino sprawls well.
Nevus tries to clinch but Bonzarino is having none of it.
Bonzarino lands a right hook to the body.
Nevus looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jimmy Bonzarino has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George Nevus.
Nevus closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bonzarino circles away.
Bonzarino scores with the left hand. Nevus knows he should have avoided that one.

Bonzarino scores with a jab.
Bonzarino lands a jab-cross combination.
Bonzarino fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Bonzarino scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Nevus fails with the takedown
and Bonzarino cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nevus looks gassed!
Nevus takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bonzarino lands a right hook to the body.
Bonzarino connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Nevus shoots for a double leg takedown but Bonzarino sprawls well. He's pushed Nevus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bonzarino.
Left hook, right uppercut from Bonzarino.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bonzarino pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nevus back to the cage. Bonzarino follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Nevus is rocked!
Bonzarino lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Nevus goes down and covers up as Bonzarino starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jimmy Bonzarino!
