Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vit Kana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hale Erwin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erwin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Officer Ricky - Three Times. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kana misses with a takedown attempt - Erwin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Erwin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kana misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A jab from Erwin does it's job there.
Erwin lands a head kick!
Erwin lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kana missing with a left hand there. Erwin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kana is defended easily by Erwin.

Erwin lands a head kick. Kana smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Kana decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kana stops Erwin from getting back to his feet.

Kana wants to work for an arm triangle but Erwin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Erwin is trying to stand up here but Kana is controlling him well.
Erwin is pressing down on Kana's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Erwin wants to stand and escape but Kana is having none of it.

Erwin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kana is one step ahead there.

Kana is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Kana postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Erwin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kana, into his guard.

Erwin decides to stand up.
Erwin throws an off balance right hand
and Kana counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Hale Erwin has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Erwin thows a body kick. Kana tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Kana is breathing heavily.
Erwin lands with a thumping leg kick.
Kana takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Kana tries for a takedown but Erwin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Erwin explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Kana takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Erwin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Erwin fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Erwin scores with a punch to the head.
Kana takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Erwin connects with an inside leg kick.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Erwin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kana circles away quickly and effectively.
Erwin lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
A jab from Erwin finds it's way through Kana's defenses.
Erwin scores with a decent looking hook.
Erwin lands with a thumping leg kick.
Erwin lands a nice hook to Kana's body. Kana takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Erwin lands a left and a right that send Kana crashing to the mat, dazed. Erwin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Vit Kana has been cut.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Erwin.
Erwin moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Erwin lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Hale Erwin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kana avoids a punch combination nicely.
Erwin's corner calls for a 1-2. Erwin obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Kana misses with a takedown attempt
and Erwin comes in over the top with a devastating right hand! Kana stumbles back against the cage, looking to regain his senses but Erwin is on him like rabid pit bull! Kana slumps to the ground under a storm of punches and this fight is over!
