The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Chavez does no damage.
Chavez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. California tries to avoid it but Chavez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag California to the ground. California escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
California throws a series of punches but Chavez avoids them all with ease.
Chavez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Chavez closes this distance looking for a takedown but California circles away.

Chavez lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
California dips to his left and cracks Chavez with an uppercut!
Chavez looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? California is fending him off so far but Chavez persists. Nope, California circles away and we're back to standing.
California misses with an uppercut. Chavez saw that one coming.
Chavez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Chavez throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck California on the side of the head.
Chavez avoids a punch combination nicely.
Chavez throws a hook but California blocks it.
Chavez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from California finds it's way round the side to connect with Chavez's head.

Chavez is rocked!
California drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Chavez's head, knocking him out cold! California is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
