PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matthieu Benoit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bob lighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Benoit is on top in guard.
Benoit sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed lighty's guard.
Benoit is taking a breather. lighty says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
lighty is staying active underneath Benoit, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Benoit looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Benoit connects with a nice short shot to lighty's temple.

Benoit is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. lighty is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. lighty flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Benoit anticipates the leg and manages to get behind lighty and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Benoit slips an arm under lighty chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Benoit has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Benoit is squeezing on lighty like an anaconda would it's prey. lighty fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
