The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oh Hernandez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kharitonov's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Hernandez seems to have got his legs back now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hernandez wants to control the action here but instead Kharitonov manages to pass to full mount!
Hernandez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Kharitonov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kharitonov tries to get out of the position.
Hernandez tries to kick Kharitonov off but Kharitonov keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Hernandez pushes Kharitonov off and gets back to his feet.

Hernandez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kharitonov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kharitonov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hernandez throws out the jab.

and Kharitonov counters with a left and a right that hurts Hernandez! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Kharitonov jumps into full mount!
Hernandez is breathing heavily.

Hernandez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
