Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jhonny Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicola Tesla (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jhonny Cage has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jhonny Cage!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nicola Tesla!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tesla moves into range and connects with a jab.
Cage shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Tesla counters with a left to the body.
Cage swats away the attempt to clinch by Tesla.
Tesla takes a swing at Cage's ribcage but misses.
Tesla lands with a thumping leg kick.
Cage takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Cage walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Cage has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cage there as he acknowledges the shot.
Cage doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Tesla counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tesla misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cage takes one to the chin there.
Tesla tests Cage's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Cage moves forwards but Tesla connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Cage really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tesla scores with a leg kick.
Tesla stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tesla wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jhonny Cage. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Tesla fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cage manages to avoid it.
Tesla tries to close the distance and clinch but Cage swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tesla feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cage's calf.
Cage takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Tesla lands a leg kick that knocks Cage off balance momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tesla throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Cage stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Cage scores a takedown into full mount!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tesla just holding on.
Tesla is trying to stand up.
Tesla working to try and regain half guard.
Cage takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Cage not allowing Tesla to control his hands.
Tesla tries to break free.

Cage has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cage is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Tesla knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Tesla for a finish.
Tesla tries to escape the position.

Cage is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Tesla defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Cage is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Tesla has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Cage has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Tesla taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Cage doesn't care though - he's delighted!
