Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaiah Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fowler wants to clinch but Steele slips to the side
and Steele counters with a right hand to the body.
Fowler moves to clinch but Steele breaks away
and Steele cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Steele misses with a head kick.
Fowler misses with a combination
and Steele makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
A head kick misses from Steele.
Fowler tries to clinch up
and Steele counters with a straight right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Fowler misses with a lunging right hand
and Steele counters with a nice uppercut.
Fowler closes the distance but Steele moves to the side
and Steele counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fowler is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Fowler tries to clinch up
and Steele counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Fowler looks gassed!

Steele dips to his left and cracks Fowler with an uppercut!
Fowler darts in trying to clinch
enabling Steele to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steele throws a front kick that sends Fowler stumbling back into the cage.
Steele throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fowler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fowler takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fowler tries to clinch but Steele moves away
and Steele counters with a right hand to the body.
Steele stuns Fowler with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Steele swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fowler.
Steele ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Steele connects with a high kick.
Steele lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Steele lands a big uppercut and Fowler crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Fowler looks OK. Steele waves Fowler back to his feet!

Steele dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Steele connects with a crisp jab.
Steele lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Steele dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fowler. That did some damage!
A decent looking cross lands there for Steele.

Isaiah Fowler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fowler takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Fowler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Steele counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Steele makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Steele connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Fowler momentarily.

Fowler takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Steele keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Steele counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fowler is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Fowler has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Steele finds it's way round the side to connect with Fowler's head.

and Steele counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fowler is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Fowler tries to move into range but Steele moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Steele lands with a straight right. Fowler didn't see that one coming.

Fowler tries to land a body kick
and Steele counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Fowler takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Steele scores with a kick to the midsection.
A right-left combo lands from Steele.
Fowler falls off balance throwing a combination
and Steele connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Steele lands a jab to Fowler's midsection.
Steele misses with a series of wild punches.
Fowler throws an off balance right hand
and Steele counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Steele counters with a lovely straight right hand!

and Steele counters with a stiff right hand.
Steele lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dan Steele dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

enabling Steele to counter with a crisp jab.

and Steele counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fowler is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Steele counters with a low kick, right behind Fowler 's knee.
Fowler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Steele avoids it really well and circles away.
Fowler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steele tries to avoid it but Fowler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steele to the ground. Steele escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fowler takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Fowler wants to clinch but Steele slips to the side
and Steele counters with a nice uppercut.
Steele circles away from the clinch attempt
and Steele counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Fowler thinking.
Fowler is breathing heavily.

Steele throws a sloppy head kick and Fowler moves out of range easily.
Fowler misses with a left hand
and Steele counters with a nice uppercut.
Fowler shoots in but no luck this time.
Dan Steele has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isaiah Fowler.

and Steele counters with a low kick, right behind Fowler 's knee.

Steele throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Fowler stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Steele slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fowler darts in trying to clinch
and Steele counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fowler is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Fowler dives in and grabs Steele's left leg, looking for a takedown. Steele pushes down on Fowler's head and hops out.

Fowler shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Steele is trying to defend but Fowler finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Fowler is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Fowler thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Fowler is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Steele is just riding it out for now. Fowler eventually gives up the hold.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Fowler is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Steele is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Fowler can do to turn this around?

Fowler has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.

Fowler closes the distance but Steele moves to the side
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Fowler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Steele scores with a hook.
Fowler moves to clinch but Steele breaks away
and Steele counters with a head kick. That will keep Fowler thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Steele throws a shot to the body.
Fowler takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Steele feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Fowler's calf.
Fowler avoids the head kick by Steele.
Fowler shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steele but Steele pushes him off and we're back to square one.
A lazy left from Steele finds it's target.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd cheers as Steele lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fowler doesn't seem phased though.

Steele jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

The fighters circle momentarily. Steele darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Steele throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fowler on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Fowler might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Fowler on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Fowler fails with the takedown.
Dan Steele has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Isaiah Fowler.
Fowler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Steele pinned against the cage. Steele gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Steele throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Fowler sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dan Steele showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Steele, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
