Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felipe Konap!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Tommy Sparks has been cut.

Sparks is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Konap is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Konap can do anything to dispel that myth.

Konap really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sparks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Konap bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Sparks's head.
Konap is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sparks rather than just go for the knockout.

Konap buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Konap scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sparks doesn't seem bothered though.

Sparks shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Nice uppercut lands for Konap. That snapped Sparks's head back.
Konap is looking to slow Sparks down with leg kicks.
Konap lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Konap throws a leg kick but Sparks checks it.
Sparks uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Konap.
Konap swings for the body but Sparks moves out of range.
Konap ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

and Konap counters with a three punch combo that has Sparks backing up. Sparks nods at Konap to acknowledge the strikes.
Konap throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Sparks swings widly with a right hand
and Konap counters with a crisp right that sends Sparks to the canvas! Konap follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
