Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steven Drake!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Colon!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colon wants to clinch but Drake slips to the side
and Drake counters with a slapping leg kick.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Colon crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Drake - the referee stops the clock and Colon gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Drake. Colon manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
