Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Mael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drogon Targaryen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mael comes into the arena with It's Not All About You blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mael gets a clinch.
Mael decides to pull guard.
Mael is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mael looking for a guillotine here but Targaryen defends easily.
Targaryen must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Mael is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Targaryen is aware though and is defending well.

Targaryen wants to control from the top but Mael keeps moving.

Mael throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Targaryen escapes and throws Mael 's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Targaryen trying to control the action but Mael is working from the bottom.

Mael sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Mael looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Targaryen pushes past his half guard into mount!
Mael is desperately trying to improve his position but Targaryen has a good base and remains in mount.
Targaryen looking to control but Mael is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Targaryen trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Targaryen throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mael because Targaryen loaded up on that one.
Targaryen looking to control but Mael is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Targaryen is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Mael keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Targaryen controlling from mount.
Mael could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Mael is trying to escape the mount.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mael wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Mael is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Targaryen gets his way!
Targaryen trying to control momentarily.
Targaryen controlling well, preventing Mael from escaping the position.
Targaryen wants to control but Mael manages to buck him off and is now in Targaryen's guard! Nice work there by Mael !
Mael has gone for a leg lock! Targaryen slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mael 's guard.
Mael escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Targaryen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Drogon Targaryen will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Targaryen tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mael is able to avoid easily.
Targaryen lands with an uppercut that bounces Mael off the ropes and back into rage.
Mael gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Targaryen.
Mael punishes Targaryen's body with a nice straight punch.
Targaryen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mael tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in the close the distance. Targaryen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Targaryen looks to land a combination but Mael avoids it well.
Mael closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mael lands in his opponent's guard.
Targaryen is trying to control the position but Mael postures up.
Mael thows a big elbow that misses.
Mael connects with a couple of short punches.
Targaryen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Targaryen is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Targaryen is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mael thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mael drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mael jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mael pushes down on Targaryen's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Targaryen is looking to escape.
Mael is looking for a kimura here.
Targaryen wants to get back to full guard.
Mael seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Targaryen keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Mael uses his free foot to push down on Targaryen's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Targaryen.
Mael works his way to his opponent's back.
Targaryen rolls, trying to escape but Mael keeps control of the position.
Mael is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Targaryen has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Mael has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Targaryen taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Mael doesn't care though - he's delighted!
