Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alex Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Ramirez counters with a thumping low kick.

Ramirez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Alex Ramirez hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramirez is landing with some decent strikes but Dos Santos is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Dos Santos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ramirez on the ground.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ramirez has control of Dos Santos's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dos Santos regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Well Ramirez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
