PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Probst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Ryda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Probst kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Back of my Hand. Jeff Probst has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryda closes the distance and pushes Probst back into the cage.
Probst utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Probst is pressed up against the cage. Ryda has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Probst down to the mat. Probst avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Ryda tries for a takedown but Probst sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Probst dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Probst throws a head kick that Ryda semi-blocks.

It looks like Dick Ryda has been cut.
The fight stays on the outside here - Probst looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ryda shoots in and drives through. Probst sprawls well.
Jeff Probst has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dick Ryda.
Ryda misses with a takedown attempt
and Probst counters with a body kick that stops Ryda in his tracks momentarily.
Ryda looks gassed!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Probst lands a big head kick that sends Ryda tumbling to the mat! Probst takes a step backwards and waves Ryda back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ryda is rocked!

Probst forces Ryda back against the cage and clinches.
Ryda is still on wobbly legs! Can Probst finish him?
Probst scores a nice knee to the body.
Ryda seems to have recovered his senses.
Probst connects with a knee to the head.
Probst lands a good knee to the midsection. Ryda won't want to take too many of those.
Probst lands a nice elbow.
Probst landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ryda has eaten all the pies!

Probst using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ryda has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Probst lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

That has opened up Dick Ryda's cut even more.
Probst comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Probst.
Probst putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Ryda in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Come on Probst - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Ryda is trying desperately to land a takedown but Probst is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Ryda.
Ryda changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Probst fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Probst throws a nice inside leg kick.
Probst lands with a slapping head kick.

Ryda has Probst up against the cage in a clinch.

The cut above Dick Ryda's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Probst lands a good knee to the midsection. Ryda won't want to take too many of those.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Ryda can't find room to land a body shot as Probst controls the action.
Probst comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Dick Ryda's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Ryda is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Probst gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Ryda takes an elbow to the forehead.
Ryda tries to pull guard but Probst holds him up against the cage and eventually Ryda drops back down to his feet.
Probst lands a nice elbow.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dick Ryda's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
