Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nick Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Madass Insane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quick's entrance music is Indestructible, by Disturbed. A fine choice. Insane comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Nick Quick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Madass Insane!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quick misses with a two punch combination.
Some wild striking there from Insane.
Insane misses with a leg kick
and Quick counters with a straight right hand.

Quick bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Insane takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
You can see the frustration on Insane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Quick is putting a hurting on Insane here, landing some big shots from side control.
Insane is looking to regain half guard here but Quick keeps moving and retains side control.

Quick thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Quick tries for a kimura but Insane is defending well.
Insane is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Quick has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Insane is trying to improve his position.
Quick creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
You can see the frustration on Insane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Insane is looking to regain half guard here but Quick keeps moving and retains side control.
Quick cracks Insane with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Insane can't do much from the bottom here.

Quick stands up.
Quick changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Insane tries to avoid it but Quick manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Insane to the ground. Insane escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Insane throws a series of strikes that have Quick backpedaling.
Quick looks to land a right hand but Insane moved out of range.

Quick bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Quick goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Insane has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Quick but great work by Insane.
Quick is looking to reverse the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Insane is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Quick knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Insane cracks Quick with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Insane wants to stand but Quick is controlling his arm.
Quick manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Quick is trying to control but can't.

Insane is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Quick doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Insane.

Quick kicks off Insane and gets to his feet.

Insane drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Quick regains half guard.

Quick is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Insane pulls his head out easily.
Insane winds up and cracks Quick with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Quick pushes Insane off looking to stand but Insane dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Quick kicks off Insane and gets to his feet.

Insane looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Quick is trying to keep Insane in close.

Quick looking for a guillotine here but Insane defends easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Quick keeping moving, preventing Insane from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nick Quick dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Insane lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Insane gets a clinch.
Quick is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Insane pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Insane turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Insane wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Quick, who protects the arm well.
Insane tries to stand but Quick is controlling his head.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Insane tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Insane has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Quick regains half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quick moves into full guard.

Quick looking for a guillotine here but Insane defends easily.

Insane thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Quick looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Insane is defending well. Quick quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Insane has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Quick celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Nick Quick!
