The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Benoit misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dream is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Benoit fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dream has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

That was a close round but I would say that Tangerine Dream will probably get the nod.

Benoit postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Benoit counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Dream doesn't manage to clinch there - Benoit circles away.
Benoit has Dream up against the cage in a clinch.
Benoit pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Matthieu Benoit showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Dream's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Benoit counters with a left and a right that stings Dream.

and Dream cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Benoit closes the distance and clinches.
Benoit is trying to push Dream away but Dream has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Dream throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Benoit blocks it with crossed arms.
Dream lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Dream takes a shot to the head.
Dream blocks an uppercut.
Benoit misses with a body punch.
Dream blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Dream tries a body shot but Benoit blocks it.
Nice body punch from Dream.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Benoit.

Benoit lands a hook that snaps the head of Dream backwards.

Benoit is trying to maintain the position but Dream is very close to passing his half guard.

Benoit is looking to control Dream's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Benoit avoid being mounted?
Dream prevents Benoit from improving his position.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tangerine Dream.
I think Dream has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
