The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Oliveira dips to his left and cracks Cunhha with an uppercut!
Cunhha has his takedown stuffed
and Oliveira counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Oliveira lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Cunhha misses with a takedown
and Oliveira counters with a left and a right that stings Cunhha.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

and Oliveira counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Oliveira connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cunhha. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Oliveira throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Cunhha on the side of the head.
Cunhha displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Oliveira throws out the jab.

and Oliveira counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Oliveira works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Oliveira's corner calls for a 1-2. Oliveira obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Cunhha tries to move into range but Oliveira moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Cunhha gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Oliveira sizes up Cunhha with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Oliveira is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Cunhha had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Oliveira is trying to force a seperation but Cunhha has the dominant position.
Oliveira lands a left hand that snaps the head of Cunhha backwards.
