Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Damian Grabowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Dangle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grabowski comes to the cage accompanied by Roar. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damian Grabowski!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jim Dangle!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dangle throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dangle walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Grabowski cracks Dangle with a right hand to the side of the head.
Dangle throws a predictable looking body shot

and Grabowski counters with a single leg into guard. Dangle didn't expect that.
Grabowski is stalling in the full guard.
Dangle trying to keep a closed guard but Grabowski is proving a slippery customer.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Grabowski misses with a hook
and Dangle counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Dangle will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Dangle throws a hook but Grabowski blocks it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The fighters circling - Grabowski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dangle uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Grabowski.

Grabowski shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Dangle tries to roll over but Grabowski keeps him under control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Grabowski is trying to control the action in half guard but Dangle is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Damian Grabowski has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

and Grabowski counters with a shoot takedown. Dangle fights it but they end up in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Grabowski's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A low kick from Dangle is predictable there
and Grabowski counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Grabowski throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Grabowski ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dangle moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice defenses there by Dangle.

Dangle swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Dangle shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Grabowski is trying to defend but Dangle finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Grabowski pushes Dangle off looking to stand but Dangle dives back in and keeps control.
Grabowski scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Dangle manages to mount him!
Dangle tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Dangle's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Dangle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Grabowski looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Grabowski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Dangle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grabowski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Damian Grabowski wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Dangle wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Grabowski wants to get back to his feet but Dangle is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Dangle shoots in looking for a takedown but Grabowski manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dangle's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Dangle closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Damian Grabowski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jim Dangle has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Grabowski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Dangle on the side of the head.

Well Grabowski has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
