Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ted Knot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JC Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Black Hole Sun as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Knot looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Knot looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Knot moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Smith lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smith cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Knot moves in looking to clinch but Smith pushes him off.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
A nice combination there by Smith.
Knot shoots in and drives through. Smith sprawls well.

Smith decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Knot rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Smith moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Knot doesn't manage to clinch there - Smith circles away.
Knot tries to clinch up.

Knot closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Knot lands in his opponent's guard.
Knot wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.

Knot stands up and waves to Smith to follow him.

Knot tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.
Smith scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Knot is rocked!

It looks like Ted Knot has been cut.
Smith throws a leg kick which misses Knot's front leg but catches the back leg as Knot tries to avoid it.
Oh Knot is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Smith lands a huge takedown. Knot is out but the ref is slow to react and Smith lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Knot lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
