The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poynter throws a right and a left that both miss.
A punch combination from Poynter misses.
Sambochek throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Poynter.
Sambochek tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Poynter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Poynter fails to land with a series of punches.

Sambochek is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Poynter throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Poynter cracks Sambochek with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Poynter is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sambochek can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sambochek avoids a series of strikes thrown by Poynter.

Poynter is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Sambochek rolls with it to try and escape but Poynter cranks on the arm and Sambochek is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
