Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Grappler Striking (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Razor Face (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Face is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Welcome to the TerrorDome. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Striking gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Face counters with a straight right hand.
A low kick from Face is predictable there

and Striking counters with a takedown into side control.
Face tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Striking wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Striking postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Face regains half guard.
Striking is trying to control the action in half guard but Face is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Striking has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Face is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Striking's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Striking's back!
Face is looking to control Striking but Striking is wriggling around and keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Striking is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

Face is trying to stick to Striking's back but Striking is turning into Face. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Face's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Striking.

Striking dives in and grabs Face's left leg, looking for a takedown. Face pushes down on Striking's head and hops out.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Striking has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Striking and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Face stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Striking turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Striking manages to end up in side control.
Face is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Striking asserts his dominance and retains side control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Striking shoots in looking for a takedown. Face tries to sprawl out of it but Striking keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Face manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Striking counters with a big head kick but Face shrugs it off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are battling for position here. Face manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Striking content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Face had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Striking defends it easily.
Striking throws a strike but Face rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Face throws and elbow that misses. Striking uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Face's guard. Nice move by Striking!

Well Striking has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
