PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Franky Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bear Grey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grey has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Franky Lee looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Grey paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Grey looks gassed!
Lee shoots in but no luck this time.

Grey throws a head kick but Lee moves out of range.
Lee shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Grey pinned against the cage. Grey gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Grey avoids a punch combination nicely.

Grey scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Lee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Grey manages to get himself to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Lee throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grey's waist but Grey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lee off to one side.

Grey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

It looks like Bear Grey has been cut.

Grey wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lee, who protects the arm well.

Grey has an Americana. Lee didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Grey is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Grey hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
