The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Graves misses with a body kick.
A head kick from Graves lands but Monferrand takes it in his stride.

It looks like Joseph Monferrand has been cut.
Graves throws an off balance right hand

so Monferrand counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Monferrand drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Graves dives on top into guard.
Monferrand tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Graves trying to control the position from guard on top but Monferrand is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Graves knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Monferrand on the ground.

Graves drops back looking for a leg! Monferrand is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Monferrand manages to kick Graves off! Graves jumps back into Monferrand's guard.
Monferrand is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Graves is controlling him.

Monferrand has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Graves doesn't defend quickly enough and Monferrand has managed to lock this one up! Can Graves escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Monferrand on a fantastic submission victory.
