Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pascal Lafevre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Rockwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lafevre's entrance music is Allen by Steve. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rockwood will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Lafevre checks a leg kick.
Lafevre bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rockwood's head.

It looks like Mike Rockwood has been cut.
Rockwood swats away the attempt to clinch by Lafevre.
Lafevre doesn't manage to clinch there - Rockwood circles away.
Lafevre moves out of range of the body kick.
Rockwood wants to slow Lafevre down by chopping away at his legs.

Rockwood tries to work over Lafevre's front leg with a kick but Lafevre checks it.

and Rockwood counters with a nice low kick that buckles Lafevre's knee momentarily.
Lafevre lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rockwood circles away quickly and effectively.
Rockwood on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Lafevre moves in looking to clinch but Rockwood pushes him off.

Mike Rockwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lafevre ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Lafevre tries to clinch up.
Rockwood throws a sloppy head kick and Lafevre moves out of range easily.
Lafevre paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lafevre is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Rockwood does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A head kick misses from Rockwood.
Lafevre is looking to clinch but Rockwood is avoiding it.

Rockwood keeps the fight on the outside.

Lafevre tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rockwood paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Lafevre connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rockwood's hands.

Rockwood is rocked!
Rockwood fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Lafevre is out of range.

Rockwood swats away the attempt to clinch by Lafevre.
Lafevre throws an overhand right that drops Rockwood like a sack of potatoes! Lafevre dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
