Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davin Gunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Given Payne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunter's entrance music is Black. A fine choice. Payne is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Lose Yourself. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gunter slips a jab and a cross from Payne.
Payne looks to throw the jab but Gunter is out of range.
Gunter takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Davin Gunter has been cut.
Payne misses with a series of wild punches.
Payne pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Payne sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Gunter to the ground! Payne dives into full mount looking to finish!

Gunter is rocked!
Payne takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Oh Gunter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Gunter can't escape the position.
Gunter is working hard here to advance position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Gunter seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Payne looking to control but Gunter is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Gunter regains half guard.
Payne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gunter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Payne wants to get back to his feet.
Gunter works his way to full guard. Good work.

Gunter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Payne can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Payne trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Payne looks gassed!
Payne wanted to stand there but Gunter had control of the position.
Gunter looking for a sweep. Not yet Gunter, not yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gunter is on top in guard.
Gunter sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Payne's guard.
Well, if Gunter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gunter wants to pass the guard but Payne is defending well.

Gunter is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Gunter passes the guard and advances to mount!

Gunter has control of Payne's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Payne regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Gunter stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Given Payne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Payne gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gunter is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Payne wants to get back to his feet but Gunter is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Payne is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Payne is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Payne throws a front kick that sends Gunter stumbling back into the cage.
Gunter fails to land the takedown.
Gunter blocks a head kick by Payne.
Left hook, right uppercut from Payne.
Payne thows a body kick. Gunter tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Nice straight punches there by Payne. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Payne.
Payne throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gunter on the side of the head.

Gunter shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Gunter seems to be working for a kimura but Payne defends the submission attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Gunter seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Payne is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
