Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenata Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen Purity by Slipknot as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Takahashi has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Williams's face.

Takahashi has hold of Williams's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Williams manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Williams feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Takahashi in particular looking to stall.

Williams slips a jab and a cross from Takahashi.
Horrible takedown by Williams or perhaps it was just good defense by Takahashi which made him look bad.

The cut above Sam Williams's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Takahashi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williams moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Takahashi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Williams. That did some damage!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Takahashi lands with a big left! Williams is wobbled badly! Takahashi comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Williams to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
