Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wilhelm Reich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Pot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reich kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Wilhelm Reich in Hell. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilhelm Reich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Pot! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pot throws a nice looking combination but Reich bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Pot fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Reich manages to avoid it. Pot looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Reich closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Reich is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pot is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Reich working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Pot prevents Reich from improving position. Pot being controlled for a moment. Reich advances nicely into full mount. Reich sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pot is trying desperately to improve position. Pot is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Reich controlling from mount. Pot is wriggling around trying to escape.
Reich looking to control and managing it successfully. Reich with a couple of short strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pot is looking to get to half guard. Reich tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Reich mounts Pot! Really nice guard pass there! Pot really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Reich avoids the attempt from Pot to control. Pot is trying to reverse the position but instead Reich has taken his back - oops! Reich keeps control of the position as Pot tries to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pot defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Reich has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Pot's body.
I really don't envy Pot right now.

Reich is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Pot has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Pot can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Reich biding his time, looking for the opening.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Reich has the hooks in. Pot is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wilhelm Reich dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Reich gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Pot counters with a big head kick but Reich shrugs it off. Reich tries to sprawl but Pot drives through with a takedown into half guard. Reich is pressing down on Pot's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Pot must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pot pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reich is keeping the position for now. Reich is controlling Pot's posture. Reich has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Reich trying to control the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pot accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pot drops back, looking for a kneebar! Reich looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Reich looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Reich! Pot gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Wilhelm Reich overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Pot for as long as he can get away with. Reich landing with strikes. Reich is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pot is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Pot tries to bench press Reich off him but Reich keeps the position. Reich trying to control the position but Pot is working away. Reich moves into full mount!

The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pot is trying desperately to improve position. Paul Pot has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wilhelm Reich is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Reich takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Pot tries to reverse the position but Reich maintains control. Pot takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Reich controlling his opponent. Pot is wriggling around trying to escape.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Wilhelm Reich. A head kick by Pot misses and Reich counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Reich is controlling the pace.

And that's the end of the fight! Wilhelm Reich showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Reich, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
