The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers swings for the body but Hitter moves out of range.
Hitter looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Hitter drives through and clinches with Powers against the cage.
Powers looking for a takedown.
Hitter can't break the clinch.

Powers manages to break the clinch.

Hitter moves into the clinch successfully.

Powers breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Powers thows a body shot but no joy.

Powers darts in and clinches Hitter up against the cage.
Powers wants a takedown.

Powers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Powers swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Hitter scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Powers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hitter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Powers is trying to control Hitter's posture but Hitter avoids it.
Powers is looking for a sweep.
Hitter wants to stand but Powers is controlling his arm.
Powers tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Hitter decides to stand up, so the ref orders Powers to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Powers tries to clinch there but Hitter circles away.
Nice jab there from Powers.
Powers pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hitter fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Powers.
Hitter with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Powers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Powers throws a right and a left that both miss.
Powers jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Hitter is rocked!

It looks like Smash Hitter has been cut.
Powers sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Hitter's defenses. It connects perfectly with Hitter's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
