Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Romulus Man (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy Robbin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Billy Robbin looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Romulus Man!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Billy Robbin!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robbin closes the distance and pushes Man back into the cage.
Man connects with a nasty looking knee right to Robbin's face.
Man throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Robbin blocks it with crossed arms.
Man tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Man scores with a knee to the head.


It looks like Billy Robbin has been cut.
Man tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Robbin just stands there and leans against the cage.
Man trying to land knees to the body.
Man trying to land knees to the body.
Robbin has Man pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Man manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Man.
Man throws a knee to the head but misses.
Robbin tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Man tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Man lands a knee to the head.
Man tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Robbin is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Man ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Man no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Robbin is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Man escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Robbin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Man working for a triangle but Robbin defends it easily.
Robbin trying to control the position from guard on top but Man is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Robbin scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Robbin content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Man can't keep his opponent in guard - Robbin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Robbin prevents Man from improving his position.
Robbin looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Man looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Man is breathing heavily.
Robbin lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Robbin works his way into side control.
Robbin is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Man will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Robbin creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Robbin advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Man is trying desperately to improve position.
BOOM! Robbin connects with a massive shot to the dome!


It looks like Romulus Man has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Robbin controlling his opponent.
Robbin lands a nice shot to the head.
Robbin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Robbin sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Robbin lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Man hang on?
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Robbin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Robbin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Robbin tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Man tries to hold on but Robbin pushes him away.
Robbin lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Robbin looking to control and managing it successfully.
It looks like Robbin might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Robbin trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Man keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Robbin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Billy Robbin was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Robbin circles away from the clinch attempt

and Robbin counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Robbin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Billy Robbin dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Man moves to clinch but Robbin breaks away

and Robbin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Man!
Robbin postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Man looks a forlorn figure.


Romulus Man's cut is getting worse.
Man is working to get back to half guard.
Man really wants to buck Robbin off and get back to his feet.
Robbin scoring with strikes but Man is staying in there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Robbin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


Romulus Man's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Robbin working away from the top, dropping strikes.


Man is rocked!


Jeez, Romulus Man's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Romulus Man's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Billy Robbin!
