Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dean Venture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Chikatilo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chikatilo has chosen Love? as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrei Chikatilo!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Venture misses with a lunging right hand

It looks like Dean Venture has been cut.
A looping hook to the body misses from Venture. Chikatilo does a little dance to reset his feet.

Venture shoots for a takedown but Chikatilo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Venture fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Chikatilo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Chikatilo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Chikatilo lands a big uppercut and Venture crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Venture looks OK. Chikatilo waves Venture back to his feet!

Venture is rocked!

Chikatilo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Oh Venture is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Chikatilo seems to be working for a kimura but Venture defends the submission attempt.
Venture is trying to get back to full guard.

Venture looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Chikatilo tries to get to full guard but Venture has control of the leg.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Well, if Venture is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Venture seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chikatilo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Chikatilo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Chikatilo wants to control but Venture is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Venture feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Chikatilos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Venture cracks Chikatilo with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Venture stuffs the takedown.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Chikatilo misses with an uppercut

and Venture counters with a shoot takedown. Chikatilo fights it but they end up in guard.

Chikatilo wants to stand and escape but Venture is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Venture lands a couple of elbows.
Chikatilo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Venture's guard.
Chikatilo wants to pass the guard but Venture is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dean Venture will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Chikatilo slaps away a takedown attempt from Venture, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Venture comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Chikatilo throws the kick towards the body but Venture avoids it.
A slow jab from Venture misses its intended target.
Venture just misses with a punch to the body.
Chikatilo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Venture.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dean Venture seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Venture throws a jab but it's blocked by Chikatilo.

Venture uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Chikatilo has time to react.

Venture misses with a body shot.

Venture throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chikatilo was covering up waiting for the punch and Venture finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Chikatilo throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Venture escapes and throws Chikatilo's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Chikatilo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Venture kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Venture is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Chikatilo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chikatilo wants to control but Venture is keeping busy.
Chikatilo is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Venture is staying active.
Chikatilo is doing well to control the position and prevent Venture from advancing to side control.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Venture gets the takedown into side control.
Venture is chipping away with strikes.
Chikatilo is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Venture throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Venture winds up and cracks Chikatilo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Chikatilo is looking for a sweep. Venture is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Venture looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chikatilo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Venture wants to pass to mount but Chikatilo is defending the position.

Chikatilo has one foot on Venture's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Andrei Chikatilo was stalling too much, according to the referee.

We're going to have a standup here because Dean Venture wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Venture, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
