Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Keven Ossland! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seth Anderson! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thud! ouch! good body kick from Ossland - that will leave a mark!
Anderson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ossland wants to get back to full guard. Ossland is trying to stand.
Anderson stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Anderson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anderson is looking for a kimura but Ossland is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Anderson to get the leverage. Anderson is thwarting Ossland's attempts to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ossland wants to improve his position but Anderson is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ossland is not content to let Anderson control the position. Anderson wants to free his trapped foot but Ossland is holding on for dear life with his legs. Anderson not doing much here.
Anderson is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Ossland reverses the position - he's now on top in Anderson's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ossland has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Anderson is proving hard to escape from. Anderson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Anderson has control of Ossland's left arm, preventing Ossland from doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Seth Anderson. Anderson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ossland defends it nicely. Anderson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ossland is breathing heavily. A punch combination from Anderson misses. Anderson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ossland was covering up waiting for the punch and Anderson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Anderson wants to pass the guard but Ossland is keeping the position. Anderson postures up and lands a big shot to Ossland's brow. Anderson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Anderson scoring with some ground and pound. Anderson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ossland's guard. Anderson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ossland is defending against the submission attempts here by Anderson.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Anderson works his foot free and advances to mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ossland avoids it really well and circles away. Ossland tries to keep at a distance but Anderson has taken the fight into the clinch. Ossland lands a right hand that snaps the head of Anderson backwards. Anderson has had enough of the clinch but Ossland keeps him there for the moment. Anderson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ossland has him pressed against the cage. Ossland is working Anderson over against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ossland breaks the clinch.
Ossland tries to clinch up but Anderson circles away and keeps his distance. Anderson leaves Ossland with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Anderson fails with the takedown.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Anderson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ossland's guard. Anderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ossland avoids it really well and circles away. Ossland lands with a kick to the temple. Anderson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Anderson misses with a few strikes there.
Anderson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Ossland has time to react. Ossland keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Keven Ossland seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Ossland sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ossland has closed the distance and engaged Anderson in a clinch.
Anderson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Anderson is trying to force a seperation but Ossland has the dominant position. Anderson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown but Ossland manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Anderson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Anderson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ossland counters with a big head kick but Anderson shrugs it off. Ossland keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Ossland scores with a one two! Anderson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Anderson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ossland swivels and escapes. Anderson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ossland counters with a one-two to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson fails with a takedown attempt. Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Ossland tries to sprawl out of it but Anderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ossland manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Anderson fails with a takedown attempt. Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ossland swats him away and circles back towards the center. Anderson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ossland is fending him off so far but Anderson persists. Nope, Ossland circles away and we're back to standing. Anderson shoots in but no luck this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Keven Ossland will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Ossland throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Anderson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Anderson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ossland is trying to control Anderson's posture but Anderson avoids it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Anderson decides to stand back up. Anderson steps back and let's Ossland get back to his feet. Anderson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ossland sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Anderson somewhat. Keven Ossland has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seth Anderson. Anderson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Seth Anderson has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Anderson with a poor takedown and Ossland counters with a head kick. Ossland will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
