The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kondou throws a push kick but Fehn slaps the foot to one side.
Fehn throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kondou makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Kondou looks to land a body kick but Fehn moved away.
Fehn connects with an inside leg kick.
Fehn misses with a body kick.
Kondou throws a sloppy head kick
and Kondou takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Fehn avoids the body shot from Kondou.
Kondou misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Fehn counters with a good low kick that Kondou was not able to check.

Kondou misses with a takedown attempt - Fehn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kondou stalks Fehn and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Fehn's face. Fehn staggers backwards, shaken.
Kondou lands with a slapping head kick.

Kondou has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Satsuya Kondou seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Fehn tries to clinch up but Kondou circles away and keeps his distance.
Kondou throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Fehn might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far.
