Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Villi Kotobalavu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emer Dlouze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kotobalavu comes to the cage accompanied by "Another Body Murdered" by Faith No more & Boo-Yaa Tribe. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Emer Dlouze!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dlouze throws a lazy body kick
and Kotobalavu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kotobalavu throws a leg kick that is checked
and Dlouze counters with a nice body kick.
Dlouze swings away with a body shot that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kotobalavu slips under a jab.
Kotobalavu misses with a body shot.
Kotobalavu chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Kotobalavu misses with a low kick.

A clash of legs there as Dlouze blocks the low kick.
Emer Dlouze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dlouze shoots in but Kotobalavu avoids the takedown attempt easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dlouze shoots in for a takedown but Kotobalavu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Dlouze misses with an uppercut
and Kotobalavu makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Kotobalavu missing with a left hand there. Dlouze was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Kotobalavu feints and then cracks Dlouze's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dlouze down.
That kick from Kotobalavu tenderised Dlouze's leg. Dlouze is trying to keep his angry face on.
Kotobalavu misses with a low kick as Dlouze jumps back.
Kotobalavu loads up on a big right hand but Dlouze slips the punch.
Dlouze fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kotobalavu manages to avoid it.

Kotobalavu throws a low kick but it's checked well by Dlouze.

Kotobalavu shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kotobalavu misses with a low kick.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Dlouze might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kotobalavu has got the better of the exchanges.
Kotobalavu bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Kotobalavu tries to land a leg kick but Dlouze saw it coming and moves away.

Dlouze uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kotobalavu.
Dlouze takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Dlouze doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kotobalavu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's time! Kotobalavu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Kotobalavu walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Kotobalavu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dlouze can do to turn this around?
Dlouze swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Dlouze throws a strike but Kotobalavu avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Kotobalavu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kotobalavu wants to pass to mount but Dlouze is defending the position.

Kotobalavu wants to stand but Dlouze is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Dlouze is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kotobalavu would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dlouze uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kotobalavu.
Emer Dlouze has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Dlouze misses with an uppercut
and Kotobalavu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Dlouze tries a head kick but it misses.

I would just about give that final round to Emer Dlouze.
I think Kotobalavu has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
