Betoli is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Mario theme. Manny West is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - West coming out on top.
Betoli tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but West swivels and escapes.
Betoli misses with an uppercut.
Betoli shoots for a takedown but West saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
West scores with a jab. Betoli acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
West displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Betoli throws out the jab.
Betoli slips a jab and a cross from West.

Betoli decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Betoli uses his free foot to push down on West's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for West.
West tries to hold on but Betoli pushes him away.
Betoli controlling the pace for now.

Betoli seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but West does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
West is trying to get back to full guard.

West tries to roll over but Betoli keeps him under control.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Betoli in particular looking to stall.
West is refusing to be controlled, as Betoli sits in half guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Betoli misses with a takedown attempt - West sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Manny West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Betoli.

West uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
West scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Betoli is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by West.

West shoots in and bounces Betoli off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Betoli has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but West can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

West stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Betoli swivels though and keeps the full guard.
West thows a big elbow that misses.

West postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Betoli pulls West in close to prevent any damage.
