PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bee J Ping (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Head might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Walk. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rock Head!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bee J Ping!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ping fails with the takedown
and Head counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ping tries for a takedown but Head circles away easily
and Head counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Head shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Head showed some decent athleticism there.

Head seems to be looking for submissions.
Ping blocking the ground and pound attempt from Head.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ping manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Ping is looking for a triangle but Head pushes his legs off easily.

Ping working for a triangle but Head defends it easily.
Ping looking for a sweep. Not yet Ping, not yet.

Head stands and steps away. Ping gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Head gets the takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Head lands an elbow.
Head trying to control the position but Ping is working away.
Ping manages to get back to half guard.

Ping looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Ping moves into full guard.

Head is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ping is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ping has escaped and now he's on top!
Ping is looking to work some ground and pound but Head has wrist control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ping lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Ping passes Head's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Head slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Ping scoring with some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Head wants to get back to his feet but Ping is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Head is breathing heavily.
Ping keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Head's head.
Ping throws and elbow that misses. Head uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ping's guard. Nice move by Head!

Ping working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Head doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Head manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ping looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Head is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ping has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Head is looking to defend but Ping has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Head! Ping pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Head taps out and this one is all over!
