The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velez shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Monferrand eats them both and turns towards Velez to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Velez misses with a two punch combination.

Monferrand avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mateo Velez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
