Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Phal Um (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sting Steiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sting Steiner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Um slips a straight right by Steiner.
Nice sprawl there from Steiner as Um shoots in.
Um blocks a low kick nicely.
Phal Um seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Um tries to clinch there but Steiner circles away.
Um throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Um fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Um throws a poor cross that misses
enabling Steiner to counter with a crisp jab.
Um swings for the body but Steiner moves out of range.

and Steiner counters with a left to the body.
Um ducks under a wild hook from Steiner.

Um shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steiner as he avoids it easily.
Steiner throws a leg kick which misses Um's front leg but catches the back leg as Um tries to avoid it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Um is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steiner.
Um shoots in but Steiner avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Steiner's corner calls for a 1-2. Steiner obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A nice inside leg kick there by Steiner. That's going to slow Um down.
Steiner walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Um checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Um misses with a right hand
and Steiner counters with a big head kick but Um shrugs it off.

Um takes one to the chin there.
Steiner jabs Um to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Steiner circles away from the clinch attempt
and Steiner counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Um is breathing heavily.

Um takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Steiner, as that shot connected.
Steiner throws a push kick but Um slaps the foot to one side.
Steiner is looking to slow Um down with leg kicks.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Steiner.
Steiner thumps Um with a low kick.
Um doesn't manage to clinch there - Steiner circles away.
An inside leg kick lands from Steiner.
Steiner ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Um is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

and Steiner counters with a straight right hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Um thows a left - swing and a miss!
Nice straight punches there by Steiner. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Steiner.

and Steiner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Um misses with an uppercut
and Steiner counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Um. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Um keeps the fight on the outside.
Steiner scores with a head kick. Um tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Nice takedown defense from Steiner. No joy for Um on that attempt.
Um throws a lazy uppercut
and Steiner counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Steiner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Steiner lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Steiner throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Um takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sting Steiner dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Um has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Steiner finds it's way round the side to connect with Um's head.
Um swings for the body but Steiner moves out of range.
Um lands a right hook to the body.
Um doesn't manage to clinch there - Steiner circles away.

Um is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Um feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Um slips a nice elbow through Steiner's hands, connecting with Steiner's forehead.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sting Steiner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
