Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da throws out a leg kick but Chalaam moves out of range and Da only half commits.
Chalaam pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Da turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Chalaam throws a head kick that misses

and Da counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Well, if Da is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Da thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chalaam's head.

Da not doing much here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Chalaam is looking for a sweep. Da is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Chalaam misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Chalaam stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Da.
Suer Chalaam is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Chalaam gets caught flat footed, as Da shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Chalaam tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chalaam wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Da trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Da postures up and lands a big shot to Chalaam's brow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Chalaam tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Da stays in close to Chalaam's body and controls the position.
Da trying to control but Chalaam is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Da postures up in Chalaam's guard and throws a big left but Chalaam blocks it.
Da throwing strikes but missing.
Chalaam has momentary wrist control but Da slips an elbow through the middle.
Chalaam lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Da!
Da is trying to escape the mount.

Da has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chalaam is looking to stand but Chalaam has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Da is looking to improve his position but Chalaam isn't that keen on the idea.
Da tries to lock up and control but Chalaam gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Da bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Da slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Da is looking to work some ground and pound but Chalaam has wrist control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Da wants to control from the top but Chalaam keeps moving.
Chalaam keeping full guard, as Da tries to pass.

Chalaam uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Da fails to land with a series of punches.
Da fails to land the takedown.
Da tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Chalaam swivels and escapes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Atilla Da dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Chalaam avoids a punch combination nicely.

Da shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chalaam napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Chalaam is trying to get back to half guard.
The strikes coming from Da are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Da fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Da scores with a couple of short elbows.
Chalaam is not content to let Da control the position.

Check out the look on Da's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Da lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Chalaam down.

Chalaam takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Chalaam really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Da. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
You can see the frustration on Chalaam's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Da is chipping away with strikes.
Da creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Chalaam tries to buck Da off but Da is having none of it.

Da tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Da controls the position.

Chalaam regains half guard.
Da scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Da is looking to take a break and control but Chalaam is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Chalaam keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Da prevents Chalaam from improving his position.
Chalaam has a hand on Da's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Da takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Da looking to finish Chalaam with some ground and pound. This is bad for Chalaam!
Da fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Atilla Da overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Chalaam takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Da's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
