7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jon Tavaras! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Aleksandr Martynov.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavaras shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tavaras with a lazy takedown attempt and Plissken counters with a right hand to the body. Tavaras walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Tavaras seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Plissken bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tavaras's head. Plissken lands a lovely overhand right. Tavaras gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Plissken counters with a left and a right that stings Tavaras. Tavaras walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Plissken lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Plissken lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Tavaras drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Plissken manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tavaras has Plissken in his guard.

Plissken got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tavaras has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Plissken has managed to get both his arms back between Tavaras's legs - danger averted. Plissken working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tavaras's head.
