Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Walkie Talkie - DJ Shadow. Andrew Carter has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andrew Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Scott! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carter throws a sloppy head kick and Scott moves out of range easily. Scott shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Carter counters with a nice body shot. Scott throws a sloppy body shot
and Carter counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Scott makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Scott. Scott is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Carter wants to pass the guard but Scott is keeping the position. Scott keeping moving, preventing Carter from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter sitting in guard, not really doing much. Carter preventing the sweep. Carter trying to control but Scott is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Andrew Carter just wasn't active enough. Scott checks the leg kick. Jab, jab by Carter - just one landing. Carter pivots, looking for a leg kick but Scott is out of range and Carter settles back down. Scott misses with a straight right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Carter throws a nice looking combination but Scott bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Scott with a lazy takedown attempt and Carter counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Michael Scott has been cut. Carter pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Carter tries to land a front kick but Scott steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Scott blocks the body kick.
Carter misses with an attempted mid kick.
Carter tries a head kick but it misses.
Carter scores with a kick to the midsection. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Carter lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Scott has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Scott and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Carter catches Scott with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Scott ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carter moves away. Carter cracks the inside of Scott's front leg. Scott has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Carter. Carter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Scott's guard. Scott looking to control.
Scott has momentary wrist control but Carter slips an elbow through the middle. Scott has his hands on Carter's head, controlling the position. Carter showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter tries to free his leg and advance position but Scott is retaining full guard. Carter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Scott works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Carter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Carter trying to control the position from guard on top but Scott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Scott working a defensive guard here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Scott drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carter is looking for a triangle but Scott pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Carter dominated that round. The cut man is working on Michael Scott's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Scott on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Carter goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Scott fails with the takedown and Carter cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Scott shoots for a double leg takedown but Carter sprawls well. He's pushed Scott's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Scott checks the leg kick nicely there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Scott's guard. Scott working a defensive guard here.
Carter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter wants to control from the top but Scott keeps moving. Carter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Scott is keeping the position for now. Scott tries to land a sweep but no joy. Carter wants to control from the top but Scott keeps moving.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Andrew Carter. Carter throws a sloppy head kick and Scott moves out of range easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. A slow jab from Scott misses its intended target. Scott misses with a left hand and Carter counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Scott is lucky that one didn't land flush. Carter throws an off balance right hand
and Scott counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carter won't be happy with that. Carter wants to control but Scott postures up. Carter tries to bench press Scott off him but Scott keeps the position. Scott in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Carter manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Scott wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carter keeps working. Carter is looking to improve his position.
Scott is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Scott passes to full mount! Carter sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Carter holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Carter is refusing to be controlled, as Scott sits in half guard. Andrew Carter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Carter is looking to control Scott's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Carter avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Scott trying to advance position but Carter counters by regaining guard. Scott pushes down on Carter's leg and manages to get into half guard. Carter is trying is best to control the position here. Carter tries to roll over but Scott keeps him under control. Scott wants to work for an arm triangle but Carter is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Carter is trying to maintain the position but Scott is very close to passing his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Carter dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Michael Scott's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

and Carter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Scott fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carter manages to avoid it. Carter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Scott counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Scott looking to pass the guard. Carter controlling Scott's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Scott trying to control the position from guard on top but Carter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Scott's guard. Carter throwing strikes from guard but Scott blocks nicely. Carter is pushing down on Scott's leg trying to pass to half guard. Scott is fighting to maintain full guard but Carter has managed to sneak the leg through. Scott trying to get back to full guard but Carter takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Scott is looking to improve his position but Carter isn't that keen on the idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carter takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Scott is squirming around, avoiding Carter's attempts to control the action. Carter looking to control and managing it successfully. Michael Scott has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carter trying to control but he's not successful this time. Scott tries to reverse the position but Carter maintains control. Carter looking to finish Scott with some ground and pound. This is bad for Scott! Carter sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The referee warns Scott that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Carter tries to control but Scott wriggling away. Scott tries to get back to half guard but can't. Scott wants to control but Carter is having none of it. Carter with good strikes from the mount here! Scott is trying to escape the mount.
Carter lands a big elbow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carter wants to control the pace but Scott is squirming around nicely. Carter looking to control and managing it successfully.
And that's the end of the fight! Andrew Carter showed his dominance in that final round. Well Carter has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
