The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kid shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Walker manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kid pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walker is keeping the position for now.

Kid drops back, looking for a kneebar! Walker looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Walker looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Walker!
Kid on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kid tries to get out of the position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kevin Walker hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Walker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kid doesn't seem bothered though.

Walker connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Kid covering up! Walker comes in with a big uppercut and Kid goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
