The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Raptor shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches I napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Raptor throws a strike aimed at the side of I 's head but I avoids it well.

Raptor decides to stand back up.
I shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Raptor moves into the clinch.
Raptor swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Raptor lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt I or not.
Raptor gets through I 's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Raptor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Raptor jabs I to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Raptor scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Raptor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
I working to try and regain half guard.
I is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

and I takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A decent looking cross lands there for Raptor.

and Raptor counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

so I counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Raptor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

I has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Raptor can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

and Raptor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
I slips a straight right by Raptor.
I has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from I there as he acknowledges the shot.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
I throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

I tries for a takedown but Raptor circles away easily

and Raptor counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in I 's guard now.

Raptor stands up over I , holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

I is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Danny Raptor overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Raptor throws a looping overhand right but I ducks down to avoid it.
Raptor throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent I stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Raptor tries to lock up and control but I gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Raptor slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Raptor is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Raptor controls I momentarily but I frees himself.
I postures up and lands a big shot to Raptor's brow.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Raptor is on top in guard.
Raptor chips away with some ground and pound.
Raptor sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed I 's guard.
I tries to roll over but Raptor keeps him under control.

I takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Datu I is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Danny Raptor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

I feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
