Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Optimus Prime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie comes to the cage accompanied by disturbed - down with the sickness. Optimus Prime has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chuck Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Optimus Prime!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Prime counters with a stiff right hand.
A jab from Prime does it's job there.


It looks like Chuck Gracie has been cut.
Gracie looks to score with a jab to the body but Prime is just out of range.
Prime misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nice shot by Gracie.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Prime takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Prime counters by clinching up.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Gracie blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Gracie has clasped his hands together around Prime's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
You can see the frustration on Prime's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Prime is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Gracie off and has taken his back!
Prime lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Gracie hold on?!

Prime is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Gracie up.
Prime tries to keep control of the position but Gracie is staying busy.
What can Gracie do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Prime really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Gracie.
Prime punches the canvas rather than the man.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Prime is not going to allow Gracie to sit and survive in this position.

Gracie tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Prime looking to control but Gracie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
A nice elbow there by Prime.
Prime with shots to the head and body - Gracie looks very uncomfortable down there.

Prime swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gracie is now in Prime's guard. A big mistake from Prime there, giving up the dominant position!
Prime has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Gracie throws a big right hand that misses.

Gracie trying to control the position from guard on top but Prime is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Prime is trying to keep Gracie in close.
Prime pulls Gracie in to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Gracie postures up in Prime's guard and throws a big left but Prime blocks it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Optimus Prime wasn't active enough on the ground.
Gracie digs a good body shot into Prime's ribs.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gracie, as that shot connected.

Gracie just misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Optimus Prime dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chuck Gracie's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Gracie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Prime throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gracie counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Prime misses with a combination
and Gracie counters with a left and a right that stings Prime.
Gracie lands a jab.
Prime misses with a right hand
and Gracie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gracie misses with a left hand

and Prime counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gracie's guard now.

Gracie looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Prime won't allow Gracie to sweep him here.
Gracie is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Prime pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now.

Gracie throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Prime throwing strikes from guard but Gracie blocks nicely.
Gracie is striking from the bottom but Prime uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Prime's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Prime's back!

Gracie is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Prime is defending well though. Gracie let's go of the attempt for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Prime is having to fend off submission attempts from Gracie, who is looking to sink in the choke. Gracie doesn't have the hooks in though and Prime manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Gracie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Prime is aware though and is defending well.

Gracie is looking for a triangle here but Prime uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Prime stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Gracie scores with a one two! Prime had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gracie looking to sit in guard and control but Prime gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Prime content to stall in guard here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Prime accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Gracie ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Prime moves away.
A jab from Gracie finds it's way through Prime's defenses.
Gracie takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Prime misses with a hook to the body
and Gracie counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Gracie defending well as Prime loads up on a big left hand.
Gracie is looking to wear down Prime with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Prime tries to close the distance and clinch but Gracie swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Prime counters with a series of strikes. Gracie will be more careful next time no doubt.
Prime lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Gracie counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Prime is looking to clinch but Gracie is avoiding it.
Gracie dodges the punch combination from Prime.
Prime scores with a punch to the head.

Gracie misses with a takedown attempt
and Prime makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Prime throws an off balance right hand
and Gracie counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Gracie swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Prime counters with a left to the body.
Prime sizes up Gracie with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Gracie throws a jab but it's blocked by Prime.
Prime throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gracie sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gracie. Prime does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gracie doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Prime connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chuck Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him.

No joy there for Prime, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gracie staying out of range there.

Prime darts in and clinches Gracie up against the cage.

Prime misses with a body punch.
Prime lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Gracie.
Prime tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gracie's elbow.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Prime.
Gracie fails to pull guard.
Prime misses with a hook from the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Prime.
Prime struggles to land a body shot inside as Gracie controls his hands.
Gracie blocks a body shot from Prime.
A head punch on the inside from Prime fails to land.

Gracie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Prime misses with a jab to the body
and Gracie counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gracie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gracie takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Prime swings away with a body shot that misses
and Gracie counters with a straight right hand.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Prime napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Gracie swings around for an armbar but Prime sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Gracie's guard.
Prime would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet.
Prime is looking to advance position but Gracie has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Prime wants to control but Gracie is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Optimus Prime comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Prime has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
